Diary and Notes

Goodbye winter. I'm glad you are gone.

The sun shone today and the sky was blue. Sadly I had to go to work and by 2 pm I was feeling very, very sleepy. I think my body has decided it's had enough and is slowly going into decline. Hopefully this is just being a little out of steam after the cold, cold winter.

And it was bloody cold.

January and February aren't my favourite months. No holidays to keep you sane, it's dark and depressing and the trees are bare. If I were a wealthier man I'd spend all of my winter somewhere less depressing - or do what the Scandinavians do and stay indoors all winter getting drunk.

Spring tomorrow - and not to soon.

As I was working until late we had do have something quick and easy for dinner. I asked everyone what they thought of it. Eve gave me a big thumbs up, Toni nodded while chomping away and Olias sucked on some spaghetti. Isis looked at me and said "Two thumbs up from me, two from Mummy, two from Eve, two from Olias and two from Daddy. That's two plus two plus two plus two plus two. That makes ten."

A perfect ten. That doesn't happen often.

And well done Isis for some excellent mental arithmetic.

Menu
  • Lamb and Basil Burgers
  • Spaghetti with Garlic and Lemon

Simple food for a quick meal. Minced lamb, chopped fresh basil and a little seasoning. Spaghetti with olive oil, garlic and butter, warmed, then a little pepper, lemon juice and flat leaf parsley. No time to cook? Was quicker than popping to the take away.

    Today's Ratings:

    Isis: Yum.
    Eve: Yum
    Olias: Yum.
